In Shamanism, when we experience traumatic and emotionally charged events, parts of our soul flee for the sake of our preservation. This process is referred to as “Soul loss”, which is referred to as dissociation in psychology.
Whenever we have a traumatic or disturbing event, we have a fragmented part of ourselves that sits frozen in our energy field. These parts go to form our shadow self which we mistakenly refer to as our “demons”, when in fact these are only the parts of ourselves that fragmented to preserve us during tough and traumatic times.
Instead of cultivating the habit of demonizing these aspects of ourselves we must identity and recognize them for what they are, shower them with love and acceptance and ultimately reintegrate them. This process is called Soul Retrieval.
There’s no wholeness without fully reintegrating all these parts of yourself. Call it soul retrieval, shadow work, inner child work or trauma work, it’s essential you do the work, heal your trauma and get back to your TRUE SELF.

There are no quick fixes, shortcuts or magic wands or “uniquely designed 3 days retreats” to heal and neutralize trauma and triggers. You need to be committed to your healing and do the work. This is a journey and it’s not linear, there will be good, fantastic, heavy and hard days. The only way out is through. And it’s all so rewarding and definitely so worth it. Because You are worth it! Life is worth it!

For most of us, our subconscious has been programmed during the various traumatic events we have experienced. A trauma does not need to be a trauma with a big “T”, in order for it to leave a deep impact in our subconscious.
During a traumatic incident we find ourselves in a high state of negative emotions, where we make decisions about ourselves, others, or life. It’s the limiting beliefs that are generated and what we decide about ourselves during the incidents that keep us wounded afterwards. Beliefs are not formed by trauma itself, but by the conclusions that are drawn from it.
The primary goal of inner work and spiritual work is to restore our true identity, back to the “I AM”. Healing is not about learning anything new but about removing the layers of false identities, cultural, social & family programming, all limiting beliefs and hidden blocks in our subconscious mind, as well as neutralizing the negative emotional charges of all traumatic memories. It is also about identifying the beliefs and traumas encoded in our DNA through our ancestors and clear our inter-generational trauma.
Until you’ve identified your limiting beliefs, commands and cleared your trauma, you’ll keep repeating the same patterns and vicious circles of reliving the same stories over and over again.
Affirmations and vision boards alone won’t help. Hard truth. Until you go deep in and do the work, it’s going to be business as usual. You are so much more than the limiting stories. So much more than all your traumas, no matter how huge you think your Trauma is. I’ve been there. Change is real. Freedom is real.
